On Thursday March 14th, Schaumburg High School gathered to mark the end of our 8th St. Baldrick’s fundraising campaign. The organization works to raise money for pediatric cancer research and treatments, and SHS has been part of the fight for years. Our updated final total from this year’s fundraising efforts total $71, 016.29.
This is thanks to the efforts of over 100 fundraising participants and dozens of people who shaved their heads and/or donated ponytails to create wigs, courtesy of Children With Hair Loss. We were delighted to once again host WGN News, who were here to interview SHS Saxons while covering local St. Baldrick’s celebrations.
Thanks are in order for all the participants and volunteers who made the event such a success! We’d like to thank all the committees and individuals who worked to organize and execute the campaign and event; they made this all possible! If you did not get a chance to participate this time, start preparing for future Baldrick’s campaigns in the years to come.
