Homecoming week at Schaumburg High School kicks off on Monday, September 23rd, with a vibrant celebration of the world’s diverse cultures! This year’s theme, “One World, Our Night,” guarantees a high-spirited and enjoyable week of festivities.
Each year, Saxons show their school spirit by participating in theme days designed to increase awareness and a sense of community. Prepare to show your Saxon spirit with the following themes:
- Monday: Sports day – Support your favorite team!
- Tuesday: Dynamic Duo/Squad Day – Match with a friend or a group.
- Wednesday: Dress Your Age – Underclassman as babies/toddlers, upperclassmen as senior citizens.
- Thursday: Throwback Thursday – Dress the styles of the 80’s and 90’s!
- Friday: Class Color – Purchase an SHS t-shirt during lunch periods.
The school week also requires special reminders! Tickets for the dance and class color shirts can be purchased during lunch hours throughout the week. Join us for a lively movie night on the football field at 7:15 pm on Tuesday! Donut and Dippin Dots sales take place on Thursday, September, 26th. Don’t miss out on these delicious opportunities! Lastly, the Homecoming Pep Assembly will occur at the end of the school day on Friday, along with the Rose Arbor event.
Leading into the weekend, support our Saxons at the Homecoming football game, taking place at 7:00 pm against Palatine High School. Coming into this game with an undefeated 4-0 record, the game is sure to be an exciting matchup! The theme is Lights Out; wear neon and bring black to change. Dress accordingly, and get loud! Also, make sure to check out the Varsity soccer game at 5:00 pm!
Finally, the Homecoming dance will be from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm in Schaumburg High School’s main gym. Get ready to dance and celebrate our world through the theme, “One World, Our Night”!
