The 67th Annual Grammy Awards, held at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, showcased a spectrum of fashion statements, from the elegantly sublime to the audaciously bold. Here’s a breakdown of the standout oufits that turned heads for better or worse.
Best Dressed

Sabrina Carpenter made a striking appearance in a custom baby blue gown by JW Anderson. The dress featured a halter neckline paired with a Chopard diamond necklace, a peplum waist, and a floor-length skirt decorated with feathers. The backless design showcased a string of 19 carats of Chopard diamonds. Carpenter complemented her outfit with a retro-inspired bob hairstyle, rosy cheeks, mauve lips, and feathered lashes, producing a blend of Old Hollywood and Disney princess aesthetics. This is one of my favorite looks because it captures her personality and aesthetic while also giving the audience an unique piece to look at. The blue color complements her skin and hair very well.

Chappell Roan made a memorable debut in a vintage Jean Paul Gaultier gown from the 2003 couture collection. The yellow dress featured intricate ballerina artwork, complemented by sheer blue opera gloves and yellow combat boots. She accessorized with a colorful feathered headpiece and showcased her signature drag-inspired makeup. This look has generated significant controversy, but I believe it’s one of the best. Roan’s appearance reflects her bold, drag-inspired aesthetic, proving that she isn’t afraid to take risks and fully commit to her artistic vision. Her confidence on the red carpet helped sell the entire look. Her personality shines through in this outfit, which is why it’s one of my favorites.
Taylor Swift graced the red carpet in a striking red one-shouldered ruched mini dress by Vivienne Westwood. The ensemble was complemented by matching satin heels and a distinctive red rosary worn around her thigh, featuring a “T” charm. This accessory led fans to speculate whether the “T” stood for “Taylor” or was a nod to her boyfriend, NFL player Travis Kelce. This is ultimately one of my favorite looks because the dress had enough detail to be eye-catching, but the overall styling was minimal, letting the outfit itself shine without overwhelming accessories or patterns. The red really made her stand out and complimented her features extremely well.

Cardi B made a striking appearance in a custom Roberto Cavalli gown. The dress featured a sequined animal print that blended elements of zebra and leopard patterns, creating an and eye-catching design. The form-fitting silhouette showed off a plunging neckline and extended into a dramatic train, illuminated with a flood of feathers in hues of purple, orange, black, and white. To complement her outfit, Cardi accessorized with silver layered hoop earrings, several diamond cocktail rings, and facial crystals that added a touch of sparkle. I believe the look worked because it was daring, well-executed, and a perfect reflection of Cardi B’s signature over-the-top fashion persona, making her one of the best-dressed stars of the night.
Worst Dressed

Julia Fox made a bold fashion statement with her distinctive ensemble. She donned a sheer black mini-dress that revealed her matching black undergarments. Over this, she layered a black leather jacket featuring white puffy sleeves. Her accessories included yellow latex gloves, reminiscent of kitchen cleaning gloves, which added an unexpected twist to her outfit. She completed the look with black leather boots and a black sheer hat. The mix of high-fashion and random household elements (like the gloves) felt confusing and uncoordinated. The yellow gloves seemed out of place in a red-carpet look. They overshadowed the rest of the outfit and became a reason I didn’t like this look.

Kanye West and his wife, Bianca Censori, made a striking appearance that garnered significant attention. Bianca arrived wearing a black fur coat, which she later removed to reveal a sheer slip dress, worn without undergarments, leaving little to the imagination. This bold choice sparked discussions about the event’s dress code and the appropriateness of her outfit. Kanye West juxtaposed Bianca’s daring outfit with a more understated look, opting for a simple black T-shirt and trousers. Their appearance was further marked by controversy, as reports indicate that the couple was escorted out of the event by security, allegedly for attending uninvited. This look was extremely inappropriate and one of the all time worst Grammy looks of all time.

Jaden Smith made a bold fashion statement by wearing a black Louis Vuitton tuxedo paired with a distinctive headpiece resembling a black turreted mansion, often referred to as a “Vampire Castle.” This avant-garde accessory, designed by ABODI, is described as a symbol of eternity, sensuality, and resilience. The headpiece featured a cutout framed by a black ruffle, allowing Jaden’s face to be visible. The massive black turreted castle hat was the focal point, overshadowing the rest of his outfit. I didn’t like this look because the headpiece and tuxedo contrasted eachorher and made it all a bit confusing. I think the message he was trying to send quickly got turned into a meme which makes it hard to take this look seriously.

At the 2025 Grammy Awards, Kacey Musgraves made a striking appearance in a Ralph Lauren ensemble. She paired a classic white scoop-neck tank top with a dazzling gold maxi skirt adorned with sequins and fringe embellishments. The look was tied together with a leather cast concho belt, a collaboration between Navajo silversmith Jimmy Begay Jr. and the Shiprock Santa Fe gallery. I think the plain white scoop-neck tank was too basic for a high glamour event like the Grammys. While the gold sequin skirt was stunning, it clashed with the simplicity of the top. The contrast between casual and glamorous felt unbalanced rather than intentional.
