As the countdown to graduation begins, the Class of 2025 has a calendar full of exciting events and celebrations. From prom to senior picnic, and graduation at the NOW Arena, here’s your ultimate guide to everything happening in these final weeks of high school.
Prom – May 3rd
Get ready for a glamorous night in the city that never sleeps! Prom 2025 will be held on Friday, May 3rd at The Westin Chicago Northwest Hotel in Itasca from 6:00–10:00 PM. This year’s theme, Midnight in Manhattan, promises a chic and unforgettable evening. Make sure to have your ticket, dress to impress, and come ready to dance the night away!
AP Testing – Begins May 6th
The following week kicks off AP testing, so be sure to get plenty of rest and come prepared. Double-check your testing schedule, know your room locations, and give yourself time to breathe, you’re almost at the finish line!
Senior Picnic – May 15th
Take a break from finals stress and join your classmates for the Senior Picnic on Wednesday, May 15th, starting at 12:05 PM in the SHS stadium. There will be music, activities, and picnic-style food provided. Show off your future plans by wearing your college gear or career-themed attire!
Graduation Practice – May 16th
On Thursday, May 16th, graduation practice begins promptly at 7:15 AM in the aux gym. Enter through the athletic doors and make sure you know your assigned seat ahead of time. This practice is required for all graduating seniors.
Senior Brunch – May 16th
After graduation practice, head home to change into your best business casual outfit for the Senior Brunch at The Seville, beginning at 10:30 AM. Students must have purchased tickets and selected a table in advance—seating assignments will be shared soon. Enjoy a delicious meal, a special senior video (don’t forget to submit your pictures via the link from Mrs. Mueller), and awards based on upcoming senior votes.
Graduation – May 20th
Graduation will take place on Tuesday, May 20th at 7:30 PM at the NOW Arena. Graduates must arrive through Door 11 no later than 6:30 PM; doors open at 6:15 PM. Caps and gowns must be worn over attire that reflects the dignity of the occasion. Tassels should be worn on the right side of your cap. Leave all personal items, like cell phones, keys, purses, flowers, or balloons. Air horns and other noise devices are not permitted inside the arena. If you haven’t picked up your cap, gown, tassel, and tickets see Mrs. Mueller in the Main Office immediately.
